TICASS International Conference "Urban Visuality, Mobility, Information, and Technology of Images" - 6th-7th of December, Resource Center at Pwani University, Kilifi Kenya.

TICASS Conference on "Urban Visuality, Mobility, Information and Technology of Images" took place at Pwani University in Kilifi, Kenya on 6th-7th of December 2018, attracting a lot of interest both from university community and from oustide of the university. Pwani's professors and students participated in discussions on urban structure, community, problems related to monuments, and other forms of visual communication in urban spaces and on art issues. Persons invited from outside of the university were also highly involved in considerations on art and culture and on city planning.

The conference was opened by DVC for Research and Extension at Pwani University Prof. Muniro Tsanuo, Regional Coordinator Prof. Stephen Muoki, and TICASS Main Coordinator Dr. Aleksandra Lukaszewicz Alcaraz.

After Dr. Lukaszewicz Alcaraz's introduction relating to general issues concerning processes of urbanization worldwide and in Kenya followed more detailed presentations focused on specific topics, based on field investigations and on theoretical reflections.

Very interesting moments of the conference were the workshops "Gift" managed by Dr. Zbigniew Rogalski and realized with Pwani University students, during which students received gifts made by Polish students from Academy of Art in Szczecin (Poland) and made their gifts for Polish students.

The direct effect of students' engagement in the conference and workshop will be at Art Club at Pwani University, which will be launched in January 2019.
