TICASS activities at Polish University Abroad in London: April-May 2019 - realization
During the third TICASS mobility to London, to the Polish University Abroad, there is carried out the third part of empirical study on visual communication in urban settings.
The study is conducted from two sides:

- from the side of images collected in each country, where the investigation is conducted, in April and May 2019 in London, Manchester, and York; the images are analyzed by the TICASS researchers – described in Lasswell’s Cards and analyzed in Paul Martin Lester's perspectives: personal, historical, aesthetical/ technical, cultural, ethical, and critical;
- from the side of recipients in each country; viewers of different ages, genders, educational, and cultural background are interviewed with the use on the exhibition "RAPPROACHMENT with public space"; the interviews are recorded, transcribed, described, and analyzed.
Photographs of visual communicates have been collected in London, Manchester, and York by a team from the Polish University Abroad (UK), Pwani University (Kenya), and Association for Education, Science and Culture (Poland). They are now described in Lasswell’s Cards.
During the mobility to Pwani University (Kenya) and Association for Education, Science and Culture (Poland), researchers from other institutions participating in the TICASS project (University of Macerata, Italy; Jan Evangelista Purkyne University in Usti nad Labem, Czech Republic; Academy of Art. in Szczecin, Poland) participated in important activities:
10th of May:
- workshop on visual literacy by Zdenek Svejkovski (UJEP): "Art from Google Earth"
11th of May:
- the 3rd TICASS International Conference: "Spaces of Transfers and Visual Management of Human Mobility"
- opening of the exhibition "RAPPROACHMENT with public space"
- interview with school children on the perception and interpretation of images gathered on the exhibition
- The exhibition was accompanied by the concert of "Spicy Rasberries".
12th of May:
- interview with students on the perception and interpretation of images gathered on the exhibition
- At PUNO took place an accompanying conference for early stage researchers on "Human and Technologies"
13th May:
- interview with adults on the perception and interpretation of images gathered in the exhibition

Due to the meeting of researchers from each institution it was possible to foster the work of PUNO, SENK, and PU colleagues, and share the following work on P. M. Lester’s analysis, in forthcoming monographs and reports.
