28-29 June, 2017
Academy of Art in Szczecin, Poland
We invite all of you to discuss the theoretical basis of visuality from intercultural perspectives taking into consideration differences in social, political, historical, climatic, and cultural conditions in various countries in Europe and in Africa, while searching for similarities that allow identification of common life forms in different settings, and common cultural and human values.
By these means we would like to construct a framework allowing us to be aware of the processes of perception and understanding of technological images present in the urban visual environment across different cultures. It will also contribute to the development of a research model on possibilities and limitations of the use of visual technologies in the contemporary iconosphere.
