Research in the area of African art in Kenya, Nairobi

During the stay in Nairobi at Kenyatta University, TICASS participants researched the area of art in Kenya. They visited Cone Off Contemporary Art Gallery, Artistic Co-operative in Karen Village, and African Heritage House by Alan Donovan. During these visits they learned about traditional art in East, Central, and West Africa; about contemporary Kenyan artists famous in the country and abroad; and about the production of art crafts from recycled materials gathered at the Kenyan coast. Guided visits gave insight and inspiration to TICASS participants.
