Baby curls can disappear;
The careful eye of a boy can become veiled;
the lovely smile can hide,
but the child, now a man,
like a tree, has roots on his feet,
branches instead of fingers,
a face made of bark.
Life goes by, slowly and quickly,
but if it lived intensely,
when the tree is old and bent,
its face will still have a cheerful, mysterious glow!
