“Educational Aspects of Technologies of Imaging in the Perspective of Visual Literacy”

Conference abstract:

The conference will be related to the technology of imaging and visual literacy. Also educational aspects of art and culture and informal education using an art approach will be included. There will be space for introduction of various art education systems and concepts at universities. Visual technologies have a large impact on many areas, creating important communication environments. They are articulating new language of visual narration and multiple ways of reading of visual symbols.

Conference applications can fall into the fields of art, humanities, and social studies reflecting visual literacy areas, education in connection with current technologies, and strategies of imaging as a platform for sharing ideas and practical experiences and skills in the field of visual communication and public space. Last but not least, contributions should highlight contemporary arts and creative processes. The conference will follow the "P.Art.icipA©tion: Education, Visual Languages, and Intercultural Strategies" conference organised by University of Macerata in Italy, November 2019.

Conference topics:

· Visual literacy in the era of image information

· Methods and approaches to art education, education with art practice, new trends in education

· Transformation of imaging technologies through traditional concepts to new possibilities

· Collaboration in creative areas and the role of art in innovative education

Types of abstracts:

· Theoretical presentation abstract (300 words max)

· Educational tools and/or good practice abstract (300 words max)

· Art concept presentation and/or good practice abstract (300 words max)

· Poster-presentation abstract (300 words max)

Contribution abstracts in English language and the required format may be sent until April 10, 2020
