Aleš Loziak

Artist, photographer, freelancer, university lecturer, student of a doctoral study program in Visual Communication.

The main theme of his work is primarily landscape as an environment where the human moves, lives, and dies. He often finds metaphors of existential questions in completely banal and common human images. He seeks new ways of photographic installations while trying to keep the contemplative character of the classic hanging image. He has an ambivalent relationship with the photography. He also deals with a dynamic image, but he treats it as with photographic medium. He works as an assistant in the studio Photography in English at Faculty of Art and Design at J. E. Purkyne in Usti nad Labem. At the same time, he leads cultural non-profit organization "Hraničář" in Ústí nad Labem, which connects contemporary art and culture with everyday life.
