doc. Mgr. A. Daniel Hanzlík

Artist, university lecturer, and head of Studio Time-Based Media at the Faculty of Art and Design of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem.

Daniel Hanzlík is a multimedia artist working with painting, drawings, photographs, objects, digital images, site-specific installations, audio-visual performances, and architectural projects. New media plays an important role in his art projects and light appears everywhere as a thematic, technical, or expressive component. His work is characterized by an interest in the urban space. This might involve site-specific installations or photography, especially taking advertising as its theme, as a source of light and as a symbol of modern post-industrial civilization.

He created together with Pavel Mrkus a platform for audiovisual performances, electronic music, digital art, and site-specific installations called BOOT_audiovisual.
