TICASS activities at Polish University Abroad in London: April-May 2019 - realization

During the third TICASS mobility to London, to the Polish University Abroad, there is carried out the third part of empirical study on visual communication in urban settings.

The study is conducted from two sides:
  • from the side of images collected in each country, where the investigation is conducted, in April and May 2019 in London, Manchester, and York; the images are analyzed by the TICASS researchers – described in Lasswell’s Cards and analyzed in Paul Martin Lester's perspectives: personal, historical, aesthetical/ technical, cultural, ethical, and critical;
  • from the side of recipients in each country; viewers of different ages, genders, educational and cultural background are interviewed with the use on the exhibition "RAPPROACHMENT with public space"; the interviews are recorded, transcribed, described, and analyzed.

Photographs of visual communicates have been collected in London, Manchester, and York by a team from the Polish University Abroad (UK), Pwani University (Kenya), and Association for Education, Science and Culture (Poland). They are now described in Lasswell’s Cards.
