Implementing the tasks of the TICASS project and undertaking additional activities in the areas of education among children.

Implementing the tasks of the TICASS project and undertaking additional activities in the areas of education among children, TICASS participants, representatives of SENK (Association for Education, Science and Culture) spent two days in the Bombolulu school in Maasai village. This school has been cooperating with the University of Silesia for several years as part of the postdoctoral research of Dr. Anna Watoła.

Although there are holidays in Kenya now, the teacher called the children to the lessons. Usually, Kenyan children like going to school very much, so of course the whole group has come up very quickly.
Researchers observed lessons taught by a local teacher, later implementing individual educational topics (Dr. Anna Watoła: Education of children in pre-school and early-school age; Dr. Anna Brosch: Sharenting. Share+parenting - activity concerned about making public information about children by parentsin social media; Dr. Tomasz Huk - Media education; Lidia Skiba - from The Silesian Hospice for Children Foundation "Świetlikowo"), and conducted educational meetings with teachers from the Bombolulu school.

Children and teachers received also a large set of school supplies and basic cleaning products (toothpaste, toothbrushes, mosquito nets).

As part of the TICASS project promotion at the Silesian University of Children, the youngest students gathered school supplies for their schoolmates from Kenya, which were donated to the pupils of the center: Good Samaritan Vision. The group representing SENK in the TICASS Project is full of admiration and respect for the people running this center.
